Job title:  Architecture/Technical Lead Apply

Overview of the Technical Lead Role

The Technical Lead (TL) is responsible for software development under the structured content authoring umbrella with the business perspective provided by the Technical Assurance Manager (TAM).  The end product of their efforts will lead to an efficient, high quality authoring and publishing strategy.  The TL is accountable for ensuring that the technical plans are planned, developed and executed to assist in the development of components.  In addition the TL is responsible for ensuring execution of a global XML strategy for the program as well as for the project lines.
The TL will manage the development of the infrastructure, being involved in all of the technical decisions in an advisory capacity.  In addition, will be providing technical direction and assignments on assigned SCA workstreams and the coding of some of the custom applications, particularly involving interaction with established Pfizer systems such as DMPS, Pflite, and GDMS.

 Level of Commitment and Duration

The TL role is designated as a 100% commitment throughout 2007 and functionally reports to the TAM.

Objectives

 a)          Understand the technical solution from all angles.  In this architecture that responsibility will include but not be limited to Documentum, Arbortext and Tomcat.
b)          Understand the legacy architectures of Pfizer and the business rules that surround them to enable appropriate interaction with established systems
c)          Ensure use of and alignment with technical and architectural information along with tools to derive Structured Content Authoring (SCA) recommendations for SCA topics
d)          Support all assigned technical activities and engage in evaluating SCA proposals and functional requirements, recognizing industry best practices
e)          Ensure in conjunction with the TAM that all modules are working in conjunction with each other for technical uniformity
f)            Lead a team of technical professionals.
g)          Participate as part of the technical team at every project level.

Provide business specific desk-side support services to users. Builds strong relationships with customers to provide support and understand their support requirements. Installs and configures application software, both off-the-shelf and developed in-house. Uses logic and analysis to work through and solve problems with users. Troubleshoots performance problems and maintains security configurations. Tracks and resolves user issues. The candidate must have excellent communication skills to work closely with users.

Job title:  Documentum Developer Apply
The general function will be to analyze specifications, designs logic, writes code, customizes products, tests, debugs, and documents software. Needs to be familiar with the software development lifecycle and configuration management. Will consult with other developers to ensure compatibility with other modules and applications. Also consults with users and stakeholders to ensure that requirements are met. Coordinate with other technical teams and enforces change management policies. Will keep informed and trained in advances in their specific field.

REQUIREMENTS:

5-7 years actively serving in a Documentum Lead Architect/Developer role is required, with a proven ability to design and implement Documentum based global solutions.
Experienced in designing high availability systems.

Intimate knowledge of Documentum versions 4 and 5
Knowledge of all Documentum products and services and the ability to implement them as needed.

Ability to review EMC design documentation and provide input on consistency across applications, more efficient / appropriate solutions, and optimal usage of resources (hardware, software and development)

Ability to communicate with and influence customers
Ability to provide technical and strategic leadership to both the client and development resources
Ability to work with team members and resources across organizations, to develop common processes, standards and guidelines and execute accordingly

In the role of Infrastructure Engineer, the primary responsibilities are
as follows:

o Initiate and direct Reference Architecture projects
o Work with TP&S and Architecture councils to prioritize RA development activities
o Create business case assessments to determine ROI of projects
o Oversee the creation of project proposals, including funding,staffing, presentation to governance
o Ensure adequate staffing; writing project role descriptions and participating in staff selection
o Manage the delivery of Reference Architecture projects such as Grid
o Update MSP profiles per work assignments
o Review/approve timecards for MSP personnel
o Manage eContainer project status and Cognos project funding
o Update Technology roadmap for the Reference Architectures
o Ensure the use of reusable components and processes at project initiation,
o Serve as the Pfizer Point of Contact for day-to-day project activities requiring escalation
o Responsible for defining, capturing, and reporting project-based metrics.
o Responsible for capturing the "lessons learned", (in partnership with the team) and updating the reusable components and best practices.

o 5 years leading technical infrastructure, platform, or enterprise software project teams.
